London - bound.

If you ask for an opinion, I would rank London before Paris and other top cities (have yet to explore NYC though!). Despite having been there for a couple of times, it embraced me with different surprises each. From the new street performances thrown below London Eye to the ever-changing weathers and seasons, London is never the same, and that's what drives me into visiting and wandering again and again.

You can check my previous posts on London [here][here] and [here]! The first two was dated 2011 (oooh my old blog!). I added a [food post] featuring good food in the UK as well :)

And... A short video I made for my London day trip!

Have a great week ahead x

My Instagram journey.

I was greatly inspired by [Stephanie Lee] this morning on her photography triplets. Instantly an idea popped somewhere in my mind and there I went, grabbing and compiling some of my past Instagram pictures. I joined Instagram on June 2011 and I must say it is an absolutely incredible journey. Although my passion's gradually fading out for now, I will never forget those excitements and memories it had once brought me along the way.

The Good Ol' Days
These are the very first pictures I posted. The middle one's my first, and it's when I set out to work on a depressing rainy day. Sadly I deleted all of these in an attempt to make the account focusing solely on photography.

Simplicity Ruled It All
My first series on Instagram. I remember placing a white A4 beneath and excitedly captured with my iPhone 4. I really love the softness they yield.

Earlybird Love
Earlybird was my all time favorite filter. In fact, I used none other. Unfortunately, it's no longer sustainable with the introduction of many new color-rich filters. I do miss the hashtags #earlybird and #earlybirdlove very much though!

Poco Homemade
This series of pictures got me really into the Instagram world. As [Cheyenne] featured me on her popular account (which I really really appreciated!), I found myself getting more followers and enjoying many kind words. I still love this series a lot until today!

Screenshots
Along the way I received so many sweet and friendly words. When I said I was depressed, some could go writing a long paragraph to cheer me up, and they really warmed me to the bottom of heart. The middle one's when I just started out, and felt so happy to cross the 100 followers boundary. The third's when my favorite Instagrammer followed me and I swear I was so happy I jumped and hit the ceiling.

Le Me
I don't really post my personal pictures on Instagram because I am very afraid of how people would judge me. I still do it occasionally though!

Nashville
Nashville was once my favorite too! The pink tone is so lovely!

Foodology
I love pictures of food! I may do it too often, but I still enjoy it very much.

Accessories
Surprisingly, my followers love my posts on accessories. Somehow I got to collect more and more along the way and I am always happy to share.

Toys
Some toys capture.

Oh, Camera!
I always like posting pictures of cameras, especially vintage ones. The middle's a plush my sister made.

Scenery
I think I posted most pictures on scenery. I like to share pictures of my travel diary and receive feedback. The left one's the first picture from me to get to the popular page!

Flower Power
You know I love flowers. Just looking at their beauty makes me smile.

Vintage
And I am also glad to know some think I am good at capturing vintage pictures. I love vintage very much myself, and I really hope to do more vintage shoots in the future. The right one is the most satisfying vintage photoshoot I have done :)

If you have the free time, I tag you to do this wonderful photography triplet on whatever themes you love!

Regina Leah's photography is so strong and full of emotions it always overwhelms me with desperation to capture more portraits. I too admire the film-like tone in all of her pictures! If you're keen on a genuine photo work, her shoots are definitely what you're looking for. I wish I could be like Regina one day! :)

Wishing you a lovely weekend. Cheers!

A World in Black & White.

I came across many pictures lately in black & white. They are just so beautiful. I think the way a modern B&W picture works is that it gets rid of unwanted elements in a picture  as colors sometimes can be confusing and unnecessary. Black & White is simplistic and straight-to-the-point. It's full of emotions and capable of conveying message stronger. It trains the eyes, to stop indulging in the world of palettes, greedily wanting more and more. A loss of vividness at times is great, it makes me see more closely the stories behind.

My pictures weren't shot at an aim to make it B&W, but I'm quite satisfied these turn out this way with post-processing. Hope you love them!

As a site note, I have recently set up a Nuffnang account because I realized many Malaysian bloggers are using that. I guess it enhances the blog-surfing experience :) Follow me [here]!

London pictures up next. Happy Sunday! x

Friday, I'm in love!

I'm always in love with little fun things bloggers do. Weeks ago, I came across [Keri-Anne]'s blog coming out a new series (or rather a sweet mini project) named Friday I'm in love. I really love the idea of her sharing those little things she loves every Friday. And come to think of it, I'm pretty demotivated to blog rewarding content lately due to my tight schedules (I'm back now I assure!), so this can also be a tool to make sure I update often :) Though, this project will see me featuring some lovely blogs and pictures which I ultimately love.

To kick a start, today I'm bringing over my sweet friend, June's lovely captures. She's launched a photography site lately, head over [here], and I'm sure you'll love it as much I do.

June's photos are relatively darker but they always tell a story in some ways. Her pictures are genuinely honest! B&W, street photography, emotions, coffee (say yay!!)... Just to name some of her faves.

She too got indulged in film photography with her Mamiya. The results are absolutely fascinating, they made me regret not doing anything to mine.

I'm pretty sure all Fridays all well spent! I'm all too excited right now for the day trip tomorrow to London. I have longed for a break since forever. Wishing you a lovely weekend! x

P/S: Do share with me some sites you love!
