Summer barbecue.

Yesterday evening we were blessed with a beautiful weather, just perfect for a Summer barbecue. It was wonderful simply chattering around, and I love exploring little details like the fat dandelions, the abandoned bottles, the gradual transition to dark... So thankful for good friends and good time! I can definitely use more moments like these.

Thank God it's Friday!

Happy Sunday!

A week came and gone, and it's gone for good! Admittedly I haven't had a great Sunday for too long, all's spent with revisions and assignments. With finals marking its full stop and Summer on the way, carefree days finally embrace me and more excitements to come!

Attached is some pictures taken on my Paris trip. How I miss that beautiful land... Anyway, wishing you a happy Sunday, folks!

P/S: I will have to grab a denim jacket on my shopping trip tomorrow, can't wait!

Val & Vess are two very passionate and classy twin sisters coming from the lovely land of Melbourne. Their elegant vintage finds never failed to amaze me! What's more, the minimalist-inspired blog layout is my favorite. Head over to [Big Picture Stuff] to have a look :)

Free fonts!

Everyone loves freebies. Despite the fact that it is vital to recognize designers' work by paying, quality work released free of charge is definitely exciting to users! I came across these beautiful and functional fonts days ago and madly fell in love. Have a look at the Polliblog to download them first time! Meanwhile I would like to share how they turned out on my pictures. Hope you enjoy!

On a side note, I'm taking my last paper tomorrow. You can tell I can no longer sit still after holding on for this dreadfully long examination period stretched for 1.5 month. I have so many plans right after tomorrow, crafting and baking are just some top-of-the-lists.

Anyway, you can view all my typography posts here. Till then!

A picture story.

When the night has been too lonely, and the road has been too long, and you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong... Just remember, in the winter, far beneath the bitter snow, lies the seed, that with the sun's love, in the spring... becomes the rose.

This song is so beautiful I can't even... It says find triumph and hope in all sorrows. I truly appreciate honest moments before bedtime where I have the luxury to pamper my eardrums with sweet melodies. Recently I just got so in love with oldies, especially those by The Carpenters! You can never find a substitute for a voice as pure as Karen C's. Favorites include Yesterday Once More, We've Only Just Begun, Rainy Days and Mondays. Beatles' Yesterday is to die for too!

Happy Friday, folks!

Spring Episode II.

During the evening I took a long walk down the trail to explore more Spring beauty. I have a love-hate relationship with bringing camera for a shoot out alone. One hand I enjoy my personal company that brings no pressure and time constraints, the other I am aware of how others would think of me. I was born very shy and timid and I really hate making eye-contacts at times. Though, these few years I'm gradually becoming more confident in dealing with social bonds. As I walked in circle round the tree to locate a good angle, two girls passed by and mumbled What's wrong with that girl...? I didn't turn my back but surprisingly I didn't feel embarrassed. It only made me think how important it is to adhere to your own principles and take people's sights and opinions easy.

I enjoyed very much the walk. The wind was a little too strong but everything was just as nice. I walked a road embraced by trees and the rays found ways between the trunks.

Bought this mini fox box of color pencils, love them!

Made French toast sandwich for breakfast the other day. Breakfast made easy - just attach two slices of smoked hams and a slice of cheese between two slices of breads lightly coated with eggs and pan fry with butter. Cut diagonally into four equal triangles.

On a side note, I made a new moving banner (I'm guessing there's no specific name for that?), courtesy of Stephanie Lee. I love it so much! Be sure to check out her site, absolutely my kind of thing!

Have a lovely week!

There is this pathetic white wall in my room. I spent the whole evening having fun with it. P/S: I figured removing my sockets and iPhone charger in Photoshop costs too much of work, so please excuse ;)
